Dr. Doug Anderson
Pastor Anderson, from Hendersonville, Tennessee, married his wife, the former Linda Brown from Crossville Tennessee, in June of 1975. Their four children all have Master’s Degrees from fundamental Baptist colleges and are working full-time in independent Baptist ministries. They have five grandchildren. Bro. Anderson was saved at the age of twelve in a Vacation Bible School. He was called to preach in 1970, was ordained and became a pastor in 1971. Then, he was in evangelism for three years and preached city-wide crusades in India. He left the Southern Baptist Convention in 1978, was an assistant pastor, and then planted and pastored churches until 1990. He became pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, Newnan, Georgia, in 1990 and enjoyed a number of big days and saw numerous people saved through the various ministries there. He also served as president of Newnan Christian School.
On January 3, 2016, Bible Baptist Church and Tri-County Baptist Church of Senoia, Georgia merged and Pastor Anderson continues as the Senior Pastor. He has a BA degree in history with a minor in English Literature and Religion from Belmont University and was honored by Dr. Tom Malone and Midwestern Baptist College with a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2003.
